My name is Eileen Cavanaugh. I am the Executive Director at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Holyoke in Holyoke, Massachusetts. I would love to secure an AED for one of our satellite sites operated in a public housing community. The AED would also travel with our youth to the local park and basketball courts as part of our first aid bag. The AED would be the property of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Holyoke. Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) is 60% more likely to occur during exercise or sports activity, so youth at play are at greater risk. Safety is our number one priority and it is essential for our staff and youth to have access to the necessary equipment to keep them healthy & safe.
