Thank you for taking the time to check out the Broomall Newtown Babe Ruth Baseball AED fundraiser.

We are a recreational baseball league for kids 13 to 19 years of age. We are asking you to donate so that we may purchase an AED to have on hand at our facility in case a cardiac emergency should arise.

I am the medical/safety director for our baseball league, and as a practicing emergency physician, I have seen so many patients benefit from bystander CPR in conjunction with early defibrillation. There have been instances of the return of spontaneous circulation( ROSC ) in patients, because of timely CPR and AED use in a given community. Should one of our players or a fan suffer a cardiac emergency, having an AED on hand would prove most beneficial.
