Help Us Protect Every Heart at MBSA
My name is Jen Gallatin, and as the President of the Muncie Baseball and Softball Association, I spend my days ensuring our community’s youth have a safe, vibrant place to play. But beyond my role in the league, this cause is deeply personal to me. Having family members who have struggled with heart issues, I have seen firsthand the fear and urgency that comes with a cardiac emergency. I know that in those moments, every second isn’t just a measurement of time—it’s the difference between a tragedy and a miracle.
Our Mission: The MBSA Ballpark Safety
Our facility is more than just a set of diamonds; it is a gathering place for families, coaches, and players every week. While we strive to provide the best experience possible, our most critical responsibility is the safety of everyone who steps onto our fields.
Why We Need Your Help Now
The reality of sudden cardiac arrest hit home recently when a neighboring baseball program had to deploy their AED during a real-life emergency. It was a wake-up call for our entire community. We never want to look back and realize we were unprepared for a situation where a life could have been saved.
Because of the physical nature of sports and the high volume of spectators we host, having an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on-site isn’t just a “luxury”—it is a necessity.
My Ask to You
We are seeking your support to fund a new AED for the Muncie Baseball and Softball Association. Your contribution will ensure that if the unthinkable happens, we have the tools ready to respond.
**Please join me in protecting our players and families.** Whether it is a donation toward the unit or helping us spread the word, your support ensures that the only thing our families have to worry about at the ballpark is the final score.
