Description
Every weekend, our fields are alive with energy. Dozens of youth soccer players run out onto the pitch to play the game they love, cheered on by hundreds of parents, grandparents, and neighbors. As a coach, my job isn’t just to teach these kids how to pass and defend. My highest priority is ensuring that every player and spectator returns home safely.
We never want to think about the worst-case scenario. However, sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone—even to young, healthy athletes on an open soccer field. In a cardiac emergency, seconds dictate survival. Using a defibrillator within the first few minutes is the single most critical factor in saving a life. While emergency responders are incredible, waiting for an ambulance to navigate a sprawling park complex can take too long. We need a solution right on the sidelines.
I have already taken steps to ensure I am personally prepared: I am fully certified in CPR and AED rescue through the American Red Cross. I have the training and the readiness to step in and save a life.
But I cannot do it empty-handed.
Many fields we go to have AED’s, however we are looking for certified coaches (like myself) to carry one along with their standard pinnies and clipboards.
Your donation isn’t just buying medical equipment; it’s buying peace of mind for every family on our team. Thank you so much for your generosity and for protecting our youth soccer community!
