At Blackstone Valley Prep we have nearly 2,000 “scholars” in grades K-12. We recently had a situation where a young child with a heart condition wanted to go off-campus for a field trip. The school AED would then either go with her and leave this building unattended, or the AED would stay back, putting her at risk. While we found a one-day solution, a backpack AED would dramatically improve the safety and expand opportunities like field trip and sports participation!
