My name is Shane Donaher and I am the Radnor High School ambassador of the Simon’s Fund Organization. Simon’s Fund aspires to prevent sudden cardiac arrest in children. This campaign is directed towards raising money in order to provide an AED to the Philadelphia Area Disc Alliance (PADA). Edgely Field provides a playing location for a variety of sports, most notably rugby, ultimate frisbee, and cricket. Throughout the summer, the field is used every day for many hours by both older and younger athletes. Despite this, the cost of an AED has simply been too high for organizations such as PADA to purchase. However, cost should never be a factor when considering the lives of the hundreds of people that walk on this field.
