Description

Got AED? Because Every Second Counts. ❤️
My name is Alea Bunch, Founder of Heart of a DREEM, an organization born from the unimaginable loss of my baby, Tyreem Richmond, and my determination to help another family avoid experiencing the same.
Tyreem was a 19-year-old Philadelphia high school graduate with his whole life ahead of him when he suffered sudden cardiac arrest at a neighborhood recreation park. In those critical moments, an AED was not readily available.
Losing Tyreem left me with a question I can’t stop asking:
How many places in our communities still don’t have access to an AED when every second counts?
That’s why we’re launching the Got AED? Campaign.
Heart of a DREEM works to increase sudden cardiac arrest awareness, expand AED and CPR education, identify gaps in AED access, and strengthen emergency preparedness—especially in spaces serving young people and families.
For this campaign, we’re raising funds to place an AED in a Philadelphia-area recreation center, youth sports organization, or community-serving location where one is needed most.
And we need your help identifying where it should go.
❤️ Donate to help fund an AED.
📍 Nominate a community location that needs one.
📣 Share our campaign and help spread awareness.
Our goal is bigger than putting an AED on a wall. We want communities to have the equipment, education, and confidence to respond when someone’s heart suddenly stops.
Tyreem’s life mattered. His story matters. And through Heart of a DREEM, his legacy can help protect another life.
One AED. One prepared community. One life saved could mean everything to another family.
Got AED? Let’s make sure the answer is YES.
