Description

My name is Rachel, and I am the school nurse at KIPP Endeavor Academt. Every day, I watch our students learn, grow, compete, and build friendships both inside and outside these walls. This school isn’t just a couple of buildings but a community filled with children, educators, and families we care deeply about.

I am starting this campaign because I believe we have a responsibility to be prepared for emergencies. Sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone: a student running laps before a big game, a teacher mid-lecture, or a parent here to check in for conferences. It often strikes without warning. When it does, every minute matters.

An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) can restore a normal heart rhythm if used quickly. Survival rates drop dramatically with each minute that passes without defibrillation. While we trust our local emergency responders, ambulance response times vary. Having AEDs available at KIPP means we can act immediately during those critical first moments.

The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward purchasing AED units for our school so they are accessible during school hours, athletic events, and after-school activities.

I truly hope we never need to use an AED. But if one day it saves the life of a student, teacher, parent, or visitor, it will be worth every effort.

Thank you for helping us protect the hearts of our school community.
