Protecting Our Young Athletes: Help KidsUnited Miramar Get an AED! ⚽❤️
Imagine dozens of energetic kids racing across the field, laughing, scoring goals, and learning teamwork. That is KidsUnited Miramar, a vibrant after-school soccer program right here in Miramar, FL. I am Jose Torrealba, the branch manager, and every single afternoon, my primary mission is ensuring our young players can safely play the game they love.
But right now, our field has a major gap in its safety net: We do not have an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on-site.
Soccer is a high-energy sport. While we focus on building coordination and confidence, intense physical activity puts kids at a unique, unexpected risk. Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) can happen to anyone—even young, healthy athletes. In a cardiac emergency, every single second counts. CPR alone is rarely enough; having an AED nearby can instantly raise survival odds from 10% to over 70%. Because we coach small children, we urgently need a specialized AED package with pediatric pads engineered specifically to protect smaller bodies.
As a community-focused club, we keep our programs accessible to local Miramar families. This means our budget is incredibly tight, and we cannot afford the upfront cost of this lifesaving device on our own.
This is where our Miramar community comes in.
We aren’t just looking for donations; we are looking for safety heroes. A simple gift of $10, $20, or whatever you can spare will directly purchase a pediatric-ready AED to guard our players on the field. If you cannot donate today, please hit the “Share” button to spread the word!
Let’s protect our kids while they chase their soccer dreams. Donate to KidsUnited Miramar today and help us save a little heart! 🙏✨
