The Lighthouse is the oldest running nonprofit organization in the city of Philadelphia. Since 1893, we’ve believed lasting change happens when neighbors work together. That’s why strengthening community is our cause. Every day, we work alongside families to make sure people of all ages and backgrounds have the opportunity to learn, develop, grow and thrive to be positive contributing members to the community.

Our mission is to provide educational, recreational, cultural, social, and economic improvement programs that support youth development, strengthen community connections, and improve quality of life for the families we serve.
